Southdale YMCA Update

Rich Melzer serves as Executive Director of the YMCA of the North, which includes the Southdale YMCA and The Marsh in Minnetonka. You might also recall hearing his name from his experience in the NBA, Europe, and Oceania.

During his career, Melzer won championships in 2005, 2006 and 2010 with the NBA D-League and CBA and was part of the San Antonio Spurs 2007 championship team. he retired from professional basketball in 2013.

Melzer remembers what it was like to be a sports-loving kid growing up with various challenges, and his passion now revolves around working with Twin Cities youth.
