We are excited to bring back Pints for People, our club's largest fundraiser! Keep reading for more information on the event and how you can help make it successful. We are less than 3 weeks away from our big event and each week I'll be sending out an email highlighting a different aspect where we need your engagement and assistance. If you have any questions or suggestions, please don't hesitate to reach out. Cheers!
What is Pints for People?
Pints for People is a charity beer tasting event hosted by SMME & Edina Morningside. We work with local vendors to sample their beer, cider, and seltzer for our attendees! This event puts the FUN in FUNdraising with Hammerschlagen, a live auction, photo booth (with props and instant prints), silent auction items, and more! A $35 ticket gets you a souvenir tasting glass, unlimited samples, fun with friends, and Oktoberfest-themed food!
Asking for Donations
While ticket sales are one source of revenue, we rely on donations to our live & silent auctions, games, and event sponsors to help us reach our fundraising goals! Our live auction items are valued at $500+, silent auction items are smaller, and we also ask for donations of $25 restaurant gift cards/certificates for our most popular game- the restaurant punch wall.  We try to make this process as painless as possible, so it's as easy as 1,2,3!  Once you secure an item, please let Gerry Mimick or Kathleen from SMME know.
Promoting the Event
We need your help in spreading the word! Our goal is to sell 175 tickets. Share the event on your social media page.  Another great way to promote our event is by visiting other clubs!  We are sending out an email to all club presidents in our District asking them to promote as well, but a personal invitation goes a long way!
Other Asks of You:
  • Reach out for sponsors, silent auction donations, and $25 restaurant gift certificates/cards. (Or donate something yourself!)
  • Sell tickets and promote the event!
  • Bring a bottle of wine (or cash) to a meeting
  • Sign up for a volunteer shift (request access to Google doc)
