OUR NEXT SPEAKER
Michael Allen, My Very Own Bed
July 20th, 7:30 a.m.

At My Very Own Bed, we deliver on a promise to give children their very own bed—a place to sleep, dream, and recharge. All too often, children transitioning to permanent housing are sleeping on the floor, an air mattress, or sharing a bed with their parents or a sibling. By providing new beds and Dream Kits, we’re giving children a space of their own while supporting productive sleep to help them learn and grow.

“We just moved to Minnesota and my child was sad about everything we lost. He mentioned wanting his own bed. He now has his own bed and it makes a big difference. From the bottom of our hearts, we say thank you all so very much.”

EDINA ROTARY LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT SERIES

DINA SIMON

Creating a culture of teamwork is one of the greatest challenges organizations are facing. This presentation is based on Patrick Lencioni’s best-selling book, The Five Dysfunctions of a Team. The model in the book outlines the core behaviors —Trust, Conflict, Commitment, Accountability, and Results— of high-performing teams.
So when we think of The Five Behaviors, we think, “it’s simple, right?” Trust, conflict, commitment, accountability, results. It’s a simple model—and that’s the power of it, but much harder to do.  Join us for this interactive session to learn more about The Five Behaviors and how to apply the concepts to enhance the teams you work with.

As CEO of Simon Says Lead, Dina works closely with individuals and clients to uncover their business goals and creatively problem-solve to get results. Over the past 10 years, she has also served as the President of Simon Says Give, a charitable organization founded by her daughter. Dina possesses a diverse leadership background including senior-level participation at multi-billion-dollar companies as well as successfully founding two start-ups. Her unstoppableness comes from collaboration with her teams, clients, and network of “others” to think big and accomplish amazing things in the world together. Those accomplishments include a 2018 Guinness World Records Holder through her work with Simon Says Give.
