Matt Lewis is Vice President, Strategic Initiatives with Greater MSP.
 
Matt works to advance the Regional Economic Development Strategy through the implementation of the GREATER MSP Partnership’s portfolio of cross-sector strategic initiatives, including: Make It. MSP., Forge North, MBold, ConnextMSP, Center Cities, and the Regional Air Services Partnership. He was named Young Economic Development Professional of the year by the International Economic Development Council for his work to build Make It. MSP., the region’s talent attraction and retention initiative.

JUNE SERVICE PROJECT: HYGIENE KITS

MONDAY, JUNE 26, 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., Braemar Golf Course prior to the Golf Tournament

This service project is an annual tradition at the EMRC Golf Tournament. You will pack hygiene kits that will be distributed to people who are unhoused or do not have access to products such as toothpaste, tootbrush, soap, shampoo, etc. Take a few minutes of the morning of Monday, June 26th while you are at  Braemar Golf Course to pack a few bags with supplies. EMRC members Chris Kennedy and Cathy Hogan are coordinating this project.

Please register so we know how many people to expect, and how many supplies to purchase.

7th Annual Edina Morningside Rotary / Pat Kennedy Golf Classic


 

Good Morning,

We are only 14 days (that's just two weeks!) away from our annual golf tournament to raise funds for our outreach grants. Last year was a smashing success and we want to repeat that success again this year.

So, to do that we need golfers and we could still use some sponsors.    It is kind of the last minute, so please sign up today - see the link above!

There were many announcements and reminders at the June 6th meeting -- the Patrick Kennedy Memorial Golf Tournament, Rotary Foundation donations, and Evo and Sam's party at Davanni's. EMRC will be busy this summer. The meeting was capped off by a great presentation by Senator Alice Mann!

FOURTH OF JULY PARADE
March with Rotary on the Fourth!
 
 
Will you be in town on the 4th of July? Would you like help educate Edina 4th of July Parade spectators about Rotary and have a lot of fun in the process? Then join a group of us who will be walking in the parade.
 
Two EMRC members will lead the pack holding an EMRC banner. The rest of us will walk behind them while holding signs that have brief messages about Rotary: Community Service; People of Action; Local Grants; Networking; Making New Friends; Welcoming; Inclusive; Leadership Development;  etc.
 
This is also a great event in which to include family and friends. We will meet at City Hall at 9:30 a.m. If interested, please watch for a registration link coming soon. Registration is important so we make sure that everyone has a sign to carry and that we don’t spend time and money making too many signs.
 
Also, if you have suggestions for sign messages, please forward them to Chris Kennedy at ckennedy3@comcast.net
