NATIONAL NON-PROFIT DAY
Thursday, August 17th is National Non-Profit Day and Sunrise of Edina would love to have EMRC members join them for a free lunch to celebrate and thank us for all that we do.  The lunch will be from 12:00 -2:00 but people are welcome to arrive any time during the event.  
 
Chris asked that we pass this invitation along to anyone in the Rotary Club that may enjoy a free lunch.  Anyone interested can RSVP to Chris via email or phone if they would like, or they can stop by if it works with their schedule.

AUGUST VOCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Vocation/Avocation Happy Hour was Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at the District.
 
Julie Westbrock, Vice President of Business Development for Trust Point, Inc., spoke. As a professional fiduciary, her job is important and not boring! Julie is a member of the Edina Rotary club.
 
 
 
 
We'd like to recognize Paul Nelson for coordinating these monthly events for many years for our club - thank you Paul! Paul is passing the baton to Sophia Pham and Don Archibeque who will assume this role.   
 
 
The tentative upcoming schedule for the rest of the year is as follows:

IS IT FAIR TO ALL CONCERNED?
 
Author, travel writer, and many time contributor to Rotary magazine, Frank Bures spoke about his search to be a good person in our complicated world. Frank wrote a great article about Rotary's work in helping Afghans resettle in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, beginning in the fall of 2021.
