DEATH OF KENNETH (TIM) SORTEBERG, BROTHER OF JOHN SORTEBERG
Memorial Service was held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 2026.
Living Word Lutheran Church, 4300 Nicols Road, Eagan.
Interment at 2:00 p.m. at Lakewood Cemetery, Minneapolis.
Memorials preferred to the church.
Tim Sorteberg passed away February 6, 2026 at the age of 80. Tim graduated from Edina High School ('63) and St. Cloud State University ('67). Tim was a devoted friend, a successful businessman, and a truly fun-loving soul. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, and skiing, and was rarely without a loyal dog by his side.
Tim was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Karon; his parents, Kenneth and Louise; his son, Jeremiah; and his daughter, Ginger. Tim is survived by his sons, Sam and Garrett; and three grandchildren.
Join us at Bunny's (5916 Excelsior Blvd, St Louis Park) for Happy Hour. This is the perfect opportunity to wrap out the last days of Summer, unwind and enjoy great company and conversation along with appetizers that will be provided. Feel free to bring along a guest, spouse or significant other — the more, the better!

Stephanie Schmidt is newly retired and is excited to include Rotary service in her life. Stephanie spent her career in technology, digital transformation led her using Agile project management as a guide. thoughout her career, Stephanie has been trusted to lead organizations' most complex, high-visibility technology initiatives. She has partnered with executive leadership to transform strategy into execution, bringing structure to ambiguous situations and delivering business-critical programs with minimal oversight. Her key experiences include enterprise AI initiatives, digital transformation, Workday implementations, cloud migrations, M&A integrations, Agile transformation, and PMO leadership. She is a skilled collaborator.

Ben Swanson, with is a Manager on the Advisory team with Abdo, working out of the Edina office. Ben works with businesses and their owners to solve problems that may arise around staffing changes in the finance department by providing outsourced accounting and controllership services. Ben has working knowledge in QuickBooks, can assist with financial statement preparation and putting together report packages.
