The Edina Morningside Rotary Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, and manages funds raised by Edina Morningside Rotary Club. Funds from this Foundation are disbursed as grants (grant application available at left) championed by a member of the Edina Morningside Rotary Club. 
 

FOUNDATION PURPOSE:

Our Club Foundation was formed in 1993, four years after the formation of the Club. The Foundation was established for the purpose of:

·      Providing a vehicle to be the fundraising and distribution arm of the Club

·      To provide a means for members to make tax deductible contributions that would be distributed for community and/or worldwide causes

Over the years, the money raised through various fundraising activities (Golf Events, Beer Tasting Events, Flower Sales, etc.) are managed through the Foundation to maximize those funds to serve others.  Each Rotary year, which begins July 1, a process begins to make grants available to organizations.  Each cause must be sponsored by an active club member.  These are then presented to the Club Board who will invite the club members to approve the organizations that will receive grants.

To apply for a grant from the Edina Morningside Rotary Foundation, a club member must nominate and sponsor a non-profit organization.
