Create Lasting Impact...

The Rotary theme for 2026-2027, Create Lasting Impact, encourages all of us, as people of action, to work together to make a meaningful difference in our communities and around the world. It builds on the ways in which members have strengthened their connections to each other and to their communities to Unite for Good.

President Carolyn Jackson, 2026-2027 - Our 38th Year
OUR NEXT MEETING

TUESDAY, September 1st 7:30 a.m. at EDINA COUNTRY CLUB

Jeff Griffith will be our speaker. The topic will be The Medal Of Honor: Presenting a New Branding Initiative for America's Heroes

The Medal Of Honor: Presenting a New Branding Initiative for America's Heroes

Jeff Griffith of Jeff Griffith Creative is an award-winning Creative Director of advertising, design and branding located in Eden Prairie.

His career spans stints in regional, national and global ad agencies in Honolulu, Atlanta, San Francisco, Chicago, Winston-Salem NC, and 20 years in New York City.

Jeff's sometimes audacious creative has been featured and discussed on CNN, MSNBC, "The View", "The Ellen DeGENERES Show" and one of his multimedia campaigns is the permanent collection of the Library of Congress.

At the meeting, he's going to share his emotional work for American's heroes at the Congressional Medal of Honor Society, which culminated in a branding takeover of the NY Stock Exchange building on Wall Street earlier this year. For those 64 brave Recipients who wear the highest military award around their neck every day, how do they define the true weight of the Medal and their sacrifice?

WELCOME NEW MEMBER PATRICK GAGE

WELCOME NEW MEMBER PATRICK GAGE

Patrick Gage was inducted as a member of Edina Morningside Rotary Club on Tuesday, August 25th, 2026.

Patrick is a hockey coach and is a fourth-generation Edina resident. His family moved to the Sunnyslope neighborhood in 1952. He grew up playing hockey on rinks like Braemar. Patrick coaches Squirts and Pewees (4th-7th graders), sand says he learns more from his players than they learn from him.

When he's not coaching, Patrick runs Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon’s re-election campaign. He is a pragmatic leader and looks forward to building collaborative relationships within Rotary.

Patrick graduated with a degree from Georgetown, and then worked at two nonprofits, raising money for refugees and Holocaust education.

Patrick lives in the Interlachen Park neighborhood and serves on the boards of the Edina Historical Society and the Edina 4th of July Committee.

Patrick's classification is Public Service.

His sponsor is Mary Brindle.

For information about Rotary membership, contact Nate Park.

From Erica Stern - Greetings from Fernie, British Columbia! I’m having a fantastic family reunion in western Canada. I stumbled upon this lovely park in Fernie and thought you could show the photo to the club at a meeting or in the newsletter. There was a big playground and several families were there at 8:15 am! Sadly the sky and mountains look a bit hazy because of the wildfires.
